Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 6.04
yadā hi neṁdriyārtheṣu na karmasvanuṣajjate। sarvasaṅkalpasaṁnyāsī yogārūḍhastadocyate ॥4॥
When one does not take pleasure in sense objects, and is not performing actions driven by attachment, and has renounced all determinations driven by desires, then he is said to have ascended to the summit of Yoga.
Gīta Bhāshya 6.04
Complete detachment is possible only after direct perception of the lord. Others have to strive diligently.
yogārūḍhasya lakṣaṇam āha - yadeti। samyagananuṣaṅgaḥ tastasyaiva bhavati। uktaṁ ca -
The characteristic of one who has reached the end objective in yoga is stated by 'yadā' verse. Only such a person can have complete detachment. It is said:
"svato doṣalayo dr̥ṣṭvātvitareṣāṁ prayatnataḥ।"
"For one who has seen (the supreme lord), the faults dissolve on its own, while for others through striving diligently."
iti ॥4॥
- stated thus in the testimonials.
Gīta Tātparya 6.04
The attachment is overcome by renouncing all determinations driven by desire. This is done by renouncing all actions in the Lord. The expression 'renouncing in the Lord' - is nothing but having the understanding that everything is dependent and controlled by the supreme Lord.
kathaṁ nānuṣajyate। sarvasaṅkalpasaṁnyāsī।
How is one not attached? By renouncing all determinations driven by desire.
"mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi"
"Dedicating all actions to Me" (Gita 3.30)
ityuktatvāt।
- is already stated (at Gita 3.30).
"madadhīnamidaṁ jñātvā matsaṁnyāsīti cocyate।"
"'Renouncing in Me' - is nothing but having the understanding that it is dependent and controlled by Me."
iti ca ॥4॥
- stated thus as well.
