Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 14.17
सत्त्वात् सञ्जायते ज्ञानं रजसो लोभ एव च। प्रमादमोहौ तमसो भवतोऽज्ञानमेव च ॥१७॥
sattvāt sañjāyate jñānaṁ rajaso lobha eva ca। pramādamohau tamaso bhavato'jñānameva ca ॥17॥
[सत्त्वात् (sattvāt) - from sattva; सञ्जायते (sañjāyate) - arises; ज्ञानं (jñānaṁ) - knowledge; रजसो (rajaso) - from passion; लोभ (lobha) - greed; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; प्रमादमोहौ (pramādamohau) - carelessness and delusion; तमसो (tamaso) - from ignorance; भवतो (bhavato) - arise; अज्ञानम् (ajñānam) - ignorance; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and;]
Knowledge arises from 'sattva', i.e. goodness, greed from 'rajas', i.e. passion, and indeed, carelessness, delusion, and ignorance from 'tamas', i.e. darkness.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
