B.G 11.19
अनादिमध्यान्तमनन्तवीर्यं अनन्तबाहुं शशिसूर्यनेत्रम्। पश्यामि त्वां दीप्तहुताशवक्त्रं स्वतेजसा विश्वमिदं तपन्तम् ॥१९॥
anādimadhyāntam anantavīryaṁ anantabāhuṁ śaśisūryanetram. paśyāmi tvāṁ dīptahutāśavaktraṁ svatejasā viśvam idaṁ tapantam ॥19॥
[अनादि-मध्य-अन्तम् (anādi-madhya-antam) - without beginning, middle, or end; अनन्त-वीर्यम् (ananta-vīryam) - of infinite might; अनन्त-बाहुम् (ananta-bāhum) - having infinite arms; शशि-सूर्य-नेत्रम् (śaśi-sūrya-netram) - having moon and sun as eyes; पश्यामि (paśyāmi) - I see; त्वाम् (tvām) - you; दीप्त-हुताश-वक्त्रम् (dīpta-hutāśa-vaktram) - with blazing fire-like mouth; स्व-तेजसा (sva-tejasā) - by your own radiance; विश्वम् (viśvam) - the universe; इदम् (idam) - this; तपन्तम् (tapantam) - scorching;]
I see you without beginning, middle, or end, of infinite might, with countless arms; moon and sun as eyes; blazing fire-like mouth; scorching this universe with your own radiance.
Gīta Bhāshya 11.19
These descriptions need to be understood in the light of the immeasurable and incomprehensible nature of the Lord.
"शशिसूर्यनेत्रम्" इत्यपि "अहं क्रतुः" इत्यादिवत्।
"śaśisūryanetram" ity api "ahaṁ kratuḥ" ityādivat.
["शशि-सूर्य-नेत्रम्" (śaśi-sūrya-netram) - having moon and sun as eyes; इत्यपि (ity api) - this too; "अहं" (ahaṁ) - I; "क्रतुः" (kratuḥ) - the sacrifice; इत्यादिवत् (ityādivat) - like such expressions;]
"Having moon and sun as eyes" too is like "I am the sacrifice".
"तदङ्गजाः सर्वसुरादयोपि तस्मात् तदङ्गेत्यृषिभिः स्तुतास्ते॥"
"tadaṅgajāḥ sarvasurādayo 'pi tasmāt tadaṅgety ṛṣibhiḥ stutās te॥"
[तत्-अङ्ग-जाः (tat-aṅga-jāḥ) - born from his limbs; सर्व-सुर-आदयः (sarva-sura-ādayaḥ) - all the gods and others; अपि (api) - also; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - therefore; तत्-अङ्ग (tat-aṅga) - his limb; इति (iti) - thus; ऋषिभिः (ṛṣibhiḥ) - by the sages; स्तुताः (stutāḥ) - praised; ते (te) - they;]
"All the gods and others, being born from his limbs, are therefore praised by the sages as his limbs."
इति ऋग्वेदखिलेषु।
iti ṛgvedakhileṣu.
[इति (iti) - thus; ऋग्वेद-खिलेषु (ṛgveda-khileṣu) - in the Khila portions of the Ṛgveda;]
- stated thus in the Khila portions of the Ṛgveda.
"चन्द्रमा मनसो जातश्चक्षोः सूर्यो अजायत।"
"candramā manaso jātaś cakṣoḥ sūryo ajāyata."
[चन्द्रमाः (candramāḥ) - the moon; मनसः (manasaḥ) - from the mind; जातः (jātaḥ) - was born; चक्षुः (cakṣuḥ) - from the eye; सूर्यः (sūryaḥ) - the sun; अजायत (ajāyata) - was born;]
"The moon was born from the mind; the sun was born from the eye."

iti ca.
[इति (iti) - thus; च (ca) - and / as well;]
- stated thus as well.
बहुरूपत्वादत् बह्वङ्गत्वं च तेषां युक्तम् ॥१८,१९॥
bahurūpatvād ataḥ bahvaṅgatvaṁ ca teṣāṁ yuktam ॥18,19॥
[बहु-रूपत्वात् (bahu-rūpatvāt) - due to manifold forms; अतः (ataḥ) - therefore; बहु-अङ्गत्वम् (bahu-aṅgatvam) - many-limbedness; च (ca) - and; तेषाम् (teṣām) - of them; युक्तम् (yuktam) - is appropriate;]
Therefore, due to manifold forms, their many-limbedness is appropriate.
