Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya

मनुष्याणां सहस्रेषु कश्चिद् यतति सिद्धये। यततामपि सिद्धानां कश्चिन्मां वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ॥३॥

Among thousands of men, one may strive for perfection; and even among those who strive, hardly one knows me in truth.

The emphasis is on the rarity of the devotees of Lord Narayana with His accurate knowledge.

दौर्लभ्यं ज्ञानस्याह - मनुष्याणाम् इति ॥३॥

The rarity of such knowledge among humans is imphasized by 'manuṣyāṇām' verse.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
