Taittirīyopaniṣat 03.04
स तपोऽतप्यत। स तपस्तप्त्वा। मनो ब्रह्मेति व्यजानात्। मनसो ह्येव खल्विमानि भूतानि जायन्ते। मनसा जातानि जीवन्ति। मनः प्रयन्त्यभिसंविशन्तीति। तद्विज्ञाय। पुनरेव वरुणं पितरमुपससार। अधीहि भगवो ब्रह्मेति। तगं होवाच। तपसा ब्रह्म विजिज्ञासस्व। तपो ब्रह्मेति ॥४॥
sa tapo'tapyata। sa tapastaptvā। mano brahmeti vyajānāt। manaso hyeva khalvimāni bhūtāni jāyante। manasā jātāni jīvanti। manaḥ prayantyabhisaṃviśantīti। tadvijñāya। punareva varuṇaṃ pitaramupasasāra। adhīhi bhagavo brahmeti। taṃ hovāca। tapasā brahma vijijñāsasva। tapo brahmeti ॥4॥
[स (sa) - he; तपः (tapaḥ) - austerity; अतप्यत (atapyata) - practiced; स (sa) - he; तपः (tapaḥ) - austerity; तप्त्वा (taptvā) - having performed; मन् (man) - mind; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; इति (iti) - thus; व्यजानात् (vyajānāt) - he understood; मनसः (manasaḥ) - from mind; हि (hi) - indeed; एव (eva) - only; खलु (khalu) - indeed; इमानि (imāni) - these; भूतानि (bhūtāni) - beings; जायन्ते (jāyante) - are born; मनसा (manasā) - by mind; जातानि (jātāni) - born; जीवन्ति (jīvanti) - live; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; प्रयन्ति (prayanti) - depart; अभिसंविशन्ति (abhisaṃviśanti) - merge; इति (iti) - thus; तत् (tat) - that; विज्ञाय (vijñāya) - having understood; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; एव (eva) - only; वरुणम् (varuṇam) - Varuṇa; पितरम् (pitaram) - father; उपससार (upasasāra) - approached; अधीहि (adhīhi) - teach; भगवः (bhagavaḥ) - O venerable one; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; इति (iti) - thus; तम् (tam) - him; होवाच (hovāca) - he said; तपसा (tapasā) - by austerity; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; विजिज्ञासस्व (vijijñāsasva) - seek to know; तपः (tapaḥ) - austerity; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; इति (iti) - thus;]
He practiced austerity. After performing austerity, he realized that "the mind is Brahman." Indeed, from the mind alone all these beings are born; by the mind they live, and into the mind they dissolve. Having understood this, he again approached his father Varuṇa and said, "O venerable one, teach me about Brahman." Varuṇa replied, "Seek to know Brahman through austerity, for austerity is Brahman."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
