उद्धृतेति मृदालिप्य द्विषडष्टषडक्षरैः। त्रिर्निमज्याप्यसूक्तेन प्रोक्षयित्वा पुनस्ततः। मृदालिप्य निमज्य त्रिस्त्रिर्जपेदघमर्षणम् ॥३॥

Reciting uddhr̥tāsivarāheṇa₁ hymn; then applying the mud found at the base of 'tulsi' plant to the body immerse yourself into the water three times by chanting twelve-letters₂, eight-letter₃ and six-letter₄ mantras. Then do ācamana₅; reciting āpohiṣṭhā₆ hymn sprinkle water on the body. Repeat this process again, this time reciting the aghamarṣaṇa₇ hymn.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
