Hymn to the claws of Narasiṃha (नरसिंहनखस्तोत्रम्)
- composed by Sri Madhvāchārya
अभ्रमं भङ्गरहितं अजदं विमलं सदा। आनन्दतीर्थं अतुलं भजे तापत्रयापाहं॥
abhramaṁ bhaṅgarahitaṁ ajadaṁ vimalaṁ sadā। ānandatīrthaṁ atulaṁ bhajē tāpatrayāpāhaṁ॥
Worship of Anandatheertha, who is always flawless, unobstructed, ardent, and pure, removes all afflictions.

pāntvasmān puruhūtavairibalavanmātaṅgamādyadghaṭākumbhoccādrivipāṭanādhikapaṭupratyekavajrāyitāḥ। śrīmatkaṇṭhīrāvāsyapratatasunakharādāritārātidūrapradhvastadhvāntaśāntapravitatamanasā bhāvitā (nākivṛndaiḥ) bhūribhāgaiḥ ॥1॥
May the outstretched, excellent nails of the glorious Lion-faced Lord Narasimha, protect us — nails which, each like a thunderbolt, are exceedingly skilled at splitting even mountain-like elephant temples; which tore apart and cast far away the powerful, rut-maddened, elephant-like enemy of Indra (Hiranyakashipu); which completely destroy darkness, and are meditated upon by the hosts of celestials with minds spread wide in tranquillity.

    lakṣmīkānta samantato'pi(vi)kalayannaiveśituste samaṃ paśyāmyuttamavastu dūratatato'pāstaṃ raso yo'ṣṭamaḥ। yadroṣotkaradakṣanetra-kuṭaliprāntotthitāgnisphuratkhadyotopamavisphuliṅgabhasitā brahmeśaśakrotkarāḥ ॥2॥
O Lakṣmī's Lord, even when I consider all sides, I do not see anything equal to you. O Supreme One, the highest thing, the eighth rasa, when cast far away - even the hosts of Brahmā, Śiva, and Indra have been reduced to ashes by the sparks, like fireflies, that sprang from the fire at the corner of your right eye, ignited by a surge of anger.
