Kāthakopaniṣat Bhāshya (काठकोपनिषत् )
2.3.18
मृत्युप्रोक्तां नाचिकेतोऽथ लब्ध्वा विद्यामेतां योगविधिं च कृत्स्नम्। ब्रह्मप्राप्तो विरजोऽभूद् विमृत्युः अन्योऽप्येवं यो विदध्यात्ममेव ॥१८॥
mṛtyuproktāṃ nāciketo'tha labdhvā vidyāmetāṃ yogavidhiṃ ca kṛtsnam। brahmaprāpto virajo'bhūd vimṛtyuḥ anyo'py evaṃ yo vidadhyātmameva ॥18॥
[मृत्युप्रोक्तां (mṛtyuproktāṃ) - spoken by Death; नाचिकेतः (nāciketaḥ) - Naciketa; अथ (atha) - then; लब्ध्वा (labdhvā) - having obtained; विद्याम् (vidyām) - knowledge; एताम् (etām) - this; योगविधिं (yogavidhiṃ) - the method of yoga; च (ca) - and; कृत्स्नम् (kṛtsnam) - completely; ब्रह्मप्राप्तः (brahmaprāptaḥ) - attained Brahman; विरजः (virajaḥ) - free from impurities; अभूत् (abhūt) - became; विमृत्युः (vimṛtyuḥ) - immortal; अन्यः (anyaḥ) - another; अपि (api) - also; एवम् (evam) - thus; यः (yaḥ) - who; विदधाति (vidadhāti) - practices; आत्मा (ātmā) - Ātman; एव (eva) - only;]
Nachiketa, after receiving the knowledge imparted by Death, and mastering the complete method of yoga, becoming pure, attained Brahman, and became immortal. Anyone else who practices in this manner concerning the Ātman also achieves the same result.
Bhāṣya 2.3.18
"I offer my salutations to the auspicious Lord Viṣṇu, the all-powerful one. He, whom I have reached through the trusted-wise, is always the most trusted-wise person accessible to me."
अतः सर्वोत्तमो विष्णुरिति सिद्धम्॥
ataḥ sarvottamo viṣṇuriti siddham॥
[अतः (ataḥ) - therefore; सर्वोत्तमः (sarvottamaḥ) - is supreme to all; विष्णुः (viṣṇuḥ) - Viṣṇu; इति (iti) - thus; सिद्धम् (siddham) - established;]
Therefore, it is established that Lord Viṣṇu is the supreme principle among all.
नमो भगवते तस्मै विष्णवे प्रभविष्णवे। यस्याहमाप्त आप्तेभ्यो यो म आप्ततमस्सदा॥
namo bhagavate tasmai viṣṇave prabhaviṣṇave। yasyāhamāpta āptebhyo yo ma āptatamassadā॥
[नमः (namaḥ) - salutation; भगवते (bhagavate) - to the auspicious Lord; तस्मै (tasmai) - to him; विष्णवे (viṣṇave) - to Viṣṇu; प्रभविष्णवे (prabhaviṣṇave) - to the all-powerful; यस्य (yasya) - whose; अहम् (aham) - I; आप्तः (āptaḥ) - trusted-wise person; आप्तेभ्यः (āptebhyaḥ) - from the reached ones; यः (yaḥ) - who; म (ma) - me; आप्ततमः (āptatamaḥ) - most trusted-wise person; सदा (sadā) - always;]
"I offer my salutations to the auspicious Lord Viṣṇu, the all-powerful one. He, whom I have reached through the trusted-wise, is always the most trusted-wise person accessible to me."
॥इति श्रीमदानन्दतीर्थभगवत्पादाचार्यविरचितं काठकोपनिषद्भाष्यं समाप्तम्॥
॥iti śrīmadānandatīrthabhagavatpādācāryaviracitaṃ kāṭhakopaniṣadbhāṣyaṃ samāptam॥
[इति (iti) - thus; श्रीमद् (śrīmad) - revered; आनन्दतीर्थ (ānandatīrtha) - Ānandatīrtha; भगवत्पाद (bhagavatpāda) - Bhagavatpāda; आचार्य (ācārya) - teacher; विरचितं (viracitaṃ) - composed; काठकोपनिषद् (kāṭhakopaniṣad) - Katha Upanishad; भाष्यं (bhāṣyaṃ) - commentary; समाप्तम् (samāptam) - completed;]
Thus ends the commentary on the Katha Upanishad composed by the revered teacher Ānandatīrtha Bhagavatpāda.
॥इति द्वितीयाध्याये तृतीयावल्ली॥
॥iti dvitīyādhyāye tṛtīyāvallī॥
[इति (iti) - thus; द्वितीयाध्याये (dvitīyādhyāye) - in the second chapter; तृतीयावल्ली (tṛtīyāvallī) - third section;]
This marks the end of the third section in the second chapter.
॥इति काठकोपनिषत् समाप्ता ॥

This marks the conclusion of the Katha Upanishad.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
