B.G 18.13
पञ्चैतानि महाबाहो कारणानि निबोध मे। साङ्ख्ये कृतान्ते प्रोक्तानि सिद्धये सर्वकर्मणाम् ॥१३॥
pañcaitāni mahābāho kāraṇāni nibodha me। sāṅkhye kṛtānte proktāni siddhaye sarvakarmaṇām ॥13॥
[पञ्च (pañca) - five; एतानि (etāni) - these; महाबाहो (mahābāho) - O mighty-armed; कारणानि (kāraṇāni) - causes; निबोध (nibodha) - understand; मे (me) - from me; साङ्ख्ये (sāṅkhye) - in Sāṅkhya philosophy; कृतान्ते (kṛtānte) - in the conclusion; प्रोक्तानि (proktāni) - spoken; सिद्धये (siddhaye) - for the accomplishment; सर्वकर्मणाम् (sarvakarmaṇām) - of all actions;]
O mighty-armed one, let me explain to you these five causes that are mentioned in the conclusion of Sāṅkhya philosophy for the successful completion of all actions.
Gīta Tātparya 18.13
Testimonials are provided to inform the original Sānkhya philosophy, as told by Lord Kapila, who is an incarnation of Vishnu, is only Vedic and includes theism, while other distorted versions are considered non-Vedic.
"कथितं परमं साङ्ख्यं कपिलाख्येन विष्णुना। सेश्वरं वैदिकं साक्षात् ज्नेयमन्यदवैदिकम्॥"
"kathitaṁ paramaṁ sāṅkhyaṁ kapilākhyena viṣṇunā। seśvaraṁ vaidikaṁ sākṣāt jñeyamanyadavaidhikam॥"
[कथितं (kathitaṁ) - told; परमं (paramaṁ) - supreme; साङ्ख्यं (sāṅkhyaṁ) - Sankhya philosophy; कपिलाख्येन (kapilākhyena) - by Kapila; विष्णुना (viṣṇunā) - by Vishnu; सेश्वरं (seśvaraṁ) - with God; वैदिकं (vaidikaṁ) - Vedic; साक्षात् (sākṣāt) - directly; ज्नेयम् (jñeyam) - to be known; अन्यत् (anyat) - other; अवैदिकम् (avaidhikam) - non-Vedic;]
"The supreme Sānkhya philosophy, as told by Lord Kapila, who is an incarnation of Vishnu, is only Vedic and includes theism, while other philosophies are considered non-Vedic."
