Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 14.18
ऊर्ध्वं गच्छन्ति सत्त्वस्थाः मध्ये तिष्ठन्ति राजसाः। जघन्यगुणवृत्तिस्था अधो गच्छन्ति तामसाः ॥१८॥
ūrdhvaṁ gacchanti sattvasthāḥ madhye tiṣṭhanti rājasāḥ। jaghanyaguṇavṛttisthā adho gacchanti tāmasāḥ ॥18॥
[ऊर्ध्वं (ūrdhvam) - upwards; गच्छन्ति (gacchanti) - go; सत्त्वस्थाः (sattvasthāḥ) - situated in goodness; मध्ये (madhye) - in the middle; तिष्ठन्ति (tiṣṭhanti) - remain; राजसाः (rājasāḥ) - those in the mode of passion; जघन्यगुणवृत्तिस्थाः (jaghanyaguṇavṛttisthāḥ) - those of abominable quality; अधः (adhaḥ) - downwards; गच्छन्ति (gacchanti) - go; तामसाः (tāmasāḥ) - those in the mode of ignorance;]
Those who are in the mode of goodness ascend upwards; those in the mode of passion stay in the middle; while those in the mode of darkness, characterized by abominable qualities, descend downwards.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
