Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 9.16 and 17
अहं क्रतुरहं यज्ञः स्वधाऽहमहमौषधम्। मन्त्रोऽहमहमेवाज्यम् अहमग्निरहं हुतम् ॥१६॥
ahaṁ kraturahaṁ yajñaḥ svadhā'hamahamauṣadham। mantro'hamahamevājyam ahamagnirahaṁ hutam ॥16॥
[अहम् (aham) - I; क्रतुः (kratuḥ) - the Vedic ritual; अहम् (aham) - I; यज्ञः (yaḥjñaḥ) - the sacrifice; स्वधा (svadhā) - the oblation to ancestors; अहम् (aham) - I; औषधम् (auṣadham) - the healing herb; मन्त्रः (mantraḥ) - the sacred chant; अहम् (aham) - I; एव (eva) - indeed; आज्यम् (ājyam) - the clarified butter; अग्निः (agniḥ) - the fire; अहम् (aham) - I; हुतम् (hutam) - the offering;]
I am the ritual, I am the sacrifice, I am the offering to the ancestors, I am the medicinal herb; I am the mantra, I am the clarified butter, I am the fire, I am the act of offering.
पिताऽहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः। वेद्यं पवित्रमोङ्कार ऋक् साम यजुरेव च ॥१७॥
pitā'hamasya jagato mātā dhātā pitāmahaḥ। vedyaṁ pavitramoṅkāra r̥k sāma yajureva ca ॥17॥
[पिता (pitā) - father; अहम् (aham) - I; अस्य (asya) - of this; जगतः (jagataḥ) - universe; माता (mātā) - mother; धाता (dhātā) - sustainer; पितामहः (pitāmahaḥ) - grandfather; वेद्यं (vedyam) - the object to be known; पवित्रम् (pavitram) - the purifier; ओङ्कार (oṅkāra) - the sacred syllable Om; ऋक् (ṛk) - the Rigveda; साम (sāma) - the Sāmaveda; यजुः (yajuḥ) - the Yajurveda; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and;]
I am the father of this universe, the mother, the sustainer, and the grandfather; I am the object to be known, the purifier, the sacred syllable Om, and also the Rigveda, the Sāmaveda, and the Yajurveda.
Gīta Tātparya 9.16 and 17
'Ṛik' - He is worthy of worship; 'Sāma' - He is equal in all His forms; 'Yajur' - He is the Yajña itself; 'Puruṣottamaḥ' - He is omniscient and thus is the Supreme Person; 'Kratu' - He is of the nature of action; 'Svadhā' - As He is upheld by no other; 'māntra' - as He is the protector; 'auṣadham' - as He is the refuge for those in trouble; 'ājya' - as he is not adulterated; 'darbha' - as He the bearer of grass; 'hutam' - as He is the oblation; 'agni' - as he is the leader of the path.
"अर्च्यत्वादृक् समत्वाच्च निजरूपेषु साम सः। याज्यत्वात् स यजुर्यज्ञः सार्वज्ञ्यात् पुरुषोत्तमः॥ क्रतुः कृतिस्वरूपत्वात् स्वधाऽनन्यधृतो यतः। मानात् त्रातीति मन्त्रोऽयमुष्टानां निधिरौषधम्॥ अज्यायस्त्वादाज्यनामा दर्भो दरभरो यतः। अहूतत्वाद्धुतं चायमग्निर्नेतागतेर्यतः॥"
"arcyatvādr̥k samatvācca nijarūpeṣu sāma saḥ। yājyatvāt sa yajuryajñaḥ sārvajñyāt puruṣottamaḥ॥ kratuḥ kr̥tisvarūpatvāt svadhā'nanyadhr̥to yataḥ। mānāt trātīti mantro'yamuṣṭānāṁ nidhirauṣadham॥ ajyāyastvādājyanāmā darbho darabharo yataḥ। ahūtatvāddhutaṁ cāyamagnirnetāgateryataḥ॥"
[अर्च्यत्वात् (arcyatvāt) - due to being worthy of worship; ऋक् (ṛk) - the Ṛgveda; समत्वात् (samatvāt) - due to equality; च (ca) - and; निजरूपेषु (nijarūpeṣu) - in His own forms; सामः (sāmaḥ) - the Sāmaveda; सः (saḥ) - He; याज्यत्वात् (yājyatvāt) - due to being the object of sacrifice; सः (saḥ) - He; यजुः (yajuḥ) - the Yajurveda; यज्ञः (yajñaḥ) - the sacrifice; सार्वज्ञ्यात् (sārvajñyāt) - due to omniscience; पुरुषोत्तमः (puruṣottamaḥ) - the Supreme Person; क्रतुः (kratuḥ) - the Vedic ritual; कृति-स्वरूपत्वात् (kṛti-svarūpatvāt) - due to being of the form of action; स्वधा (svadhā) - the offering to ancestors; अनन्य-धृतः (ananya-dhṛtaḥ) - supported by none other; यतः (yataḥ) - because; मानात् (mānāt) - from the root “mā” (to measure or to know); त्राती (trātī) - protector; इति (iti) - thus; मन्त्रः (mantraḥ) - the mantra; अयम् (ayam) - this; उष्टानाम् (uṣṭānām) - of the sacrifices; निधिः (nidhiḥ) - the treasure; औषधम् (auṣadham) - the remedy; अज्यायस्त्वात् (ajyāyastvāt) - due to being not mixed with ghee; आज्य-नाम (ājya-nāma) - named ghee; दर्भः (darbhaḥ) - the sacred grass; दरभरो (dara-bharaḥ) - bearer of the grass; यतः (yataḥ) - because; अहूतत्वात् (ahūtattvāt) - due to being invoked; हुतं (hutam) - the oblation; च (ca) - and; अयम् (ayam) - this; अग्निः (agniḥ) - fire; नेता (netā) - leader; गतेः (gateḥ) - of the path; यतः (yataḥ) - because;]
"Due to being worthy of worship, He is called the 'Ṛik'; due to sameness in His own forms, He is called the 'Sāma'; being the object of sacrifice, He is called the 'Yajur', the Yajña itself; being omniscient, He is the Supreme Person. He is called the 'Kratu' (sacrificial ritual), for He is of the nature of action; He is 'Svadhā', as He is upheld by no other; He is called the 'māntra', as He is the protector, He is the 'auṣadham', i.e. medicine, as He is the refuge for those in trouble. He is called 'ājya', i.e. ghee, as he is not adulterated. He is the sacred 'darbha', i.e. grass, the bearer of it; As he is invoked during the sacrifices, He is called 'hutam', the oblation. He is called 'agni', the fire, as he is the leader of the path."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
