B.G 9.20 and 21
traividyā māṁ somapāḥ pūtapāpā yajñairiṣṭvā svargatiṁ prārthayante। te puṇyamāsādya surendralokaṁ aśnanti divyān divi devabhogān ॥20॥
[त्रैविद्याः (traividyāḥ) - Knowers of the three Vedas; माम् (mām) - Me; सोमपाः (somapāḥ) - drinkers of Soma; पूतपापाः (pūtapāpāḥ) - purified of sins; यज्ञैः (yajñaiḥ) - through sacrifices; इष्ट्वा (iṣṭvā) - having worshipped; स्वर्गतिम् (svargatim) - the path to heaven; प्रार्थयन्ते (prārthayante) - seek; ते (te) - they; पुण्यम् (puṇyam) - the meritorious (world); आसाद्य (āsādya) - having attained; सुरेन्द्रलोकम् (surendralokam) - the world of the lord of gods (Indra); अश्नन्ति (aśnanti) - enjoy; दिव्यान् (divyān) - celestial; दिवि (divi) - in heaven; देवभोगान् (devabhogān) - pleasures of the gods.]
Those who know the three Vedas, worship Me with sacrifices and drink Soma, and seek the path to heaven. Being purified of their sins, having reached the meritorious world of Indra, they enjoy the divine pleasures of the gods in heaven.
te taṁ bhuktvā svargalokaṁ viśālaṁ kṣīṇe puṇye martyalokaṁ viśanti। evaṁ trayīdharmamanuprapannāḥ gatāgataṁ kāmakāmā labhante ॥21॥
[ते (te) - They; तम् (tam) - that; भुक्त्वा (bhuktvā) - having enjoyed; स्वर्गलोकं (svargalokam) - the heavenly world; विशालम् (viśālam) - vast; क्षीणे (kṣīṇe) - when exhausted; पुण्ये (puṇye) - merit; मर्त्यलोकं (martyalokam) - the mortal world; विशन्ति (viśanti) - enter; एवम् (evam) - thus / only; त्रयीधर्मम् (trayīdharmam) - the path of the three Vedas; अनुप्रपन्नाः (anuprapannāḥ) - those who follow; गतागतम् (gatāgatam) - coming and going (cycle of rebirth); कामकामाः (kāmakāmāḥ) - desiring pleasures; लभन्ते (labhante) - attain.]
Having enjoyed the vast heaven, they return to the mortal world upon the exhaustion of their merit. Thus, those who follow the path of three dharmas, desire pleasures attain only the cycle of coming and going.
