Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 18.43
शौर्यं तेजो धृतिर्दाक्ष्यं युद्धे चाप्यपलायनम्। दानमीश्वरभावश्च क्षात्रं कर्म स्वभावजम् ॥४३॥
śauryaṁ tejo dhṛtir dākṣyaṁ yuddhe cāpy apalāyanam। dānam īśvarabhāvaś ca kṣātraṁ karma svabhāvajam ॥43॥
[शौर्यं (śauryaṁ) - valor; तेजः (tejaḥ) - splendor; धृतिः (dhṛtiḥ) - steadfastness; दाक्ष्यम् (dākṣyam) - dexterity; युद्धे (yuddhe) - in battle; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; अपलायनम् (apalāyanam) - non-retreat; दानम् (dānam) - generosity; ईश्वरभावः (īśvarabhāvaḥ) - lordliness; च (ca) - and; क्षात्रम् (kṣātram) - of a warrior; कर्म (karma) - duty; स्वभावजम् (svabhāvajam) - born of one's own nature;]
Valour, splendour, steadfastness, dexterity, non-retreat in battle, along with generosity and lordliness are the natural duties of a warrior, born of one's own nature (svabhāva)."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
