Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 14.01
श्रीभगवानुवाच -
śrībhagavānuvāca -
[श्री (śrī) - auspicious; भगवान् (bhagavān) - the Lord; उवाच (uvāca) - said;]
The Auspicious Lord spoke:
परं भूयः प्रवक्ष्यामि ज्ञानानां ज्ञानमुत्तमम्। यज्ज्ञात्वा मुनयः सर्वे परां सिद्धिमितो गताः ॥१॥
paraṁ bhūyaḥ pravakṣyāmi jñānānāṁ jñānamuttamam। yajjñātvā munayaḥ sarve parāṁ siddhimito gatāḥ ॥1॥
[परम् (param) - supreme; भूयः (bhūyaḥ) - again; प्रवक्ष्यामि (pravakṣyāmi) - I shall declare; ज्ञानानाम् (jñānānām) - of knowledges; ज्ञानम् (jñānam) - knowledge; उत्तमम् (uttamam) - the highest; यत् (yat) - which; ज्ञात्वा (jñātvā) - having known; मुनयः (munayaḥ) - sages; सर्वे (sarve) - all; पराम् (parām) - supreme; सिद्धिम् (siddhim) - perfection; इतः (itaḥ) - from here; गताः (gatāḥ) - attained;]
I will now explain the supreme knowledge, the best of all knowledges, by knowing which all sages have attained the highest perfection here.

साधनं प्राधान्येन उत्तरै: अध्यायै: वक्ति।
sādhanaṃ prādhānyena uttaraiḥ adhyāyaiḥ vakti।
[साधनं (sādhanaṃ) - means; प्राधान्येन (prādhānyena) - primarily; उत्तरैः (uttaraiḥ) - by the later; अध्यायैः (adhyāyaiḥ) - chapters; वक्ति (vakti) - speaks;]
The means are primarily discussed in the later chapters.
Gīta Tātparya 14.01
To clarify the union between the field and the knower of the field, this chapter presents the three qualities and their distinctions.
क्षेत्रक्षेत्रज्ञ संयोगस्पष्टीकरणपूर्वकं त्रैगुण्यं विविच्य दर्शयति।
kṣetrakṣetrajña saṃyogaspaṣṭīkaraṇapūrvakaṃ traiguṇyaṃ vivicya darśayati।
[क्षेत्र (kṣetra) - field; क्षेत्रज्ञ (kṣetrajña) - knower of the field; संयोग (saṃyoga) - connection; स्पष्टीकरण (spaṣṭīkaraṇa) - clarification; पूर्वकं (pūrvakaṃ) - preceded by; त्रैगुण्यं (traiguṇyaṃ) - three qualities; विविच्य (vivicya) - having distinguished; दर्शयति (darśayati) - shows;]
In order to clarify the union between the field and the knower of the field, the three qualities and their distinctions are shown.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
